Project Description
A green-field manufacturing facility will soon rise in Australia and I need an experienced hand to steer the planning and estimating for the machinery installation phase. The production line is being fabricated in China and shipped complete to site, so every hour saved on placement, hook-up and tie-in protects the overall schedule.
Scope to cover
• Structural, mechanical and piping installation of the imported skids and auxiliaries
• Electrical, instrumentation and control fit-out welded seamlessly into each machine
• Rigorous safety compliance to Australian standards from lift plans through energisation
Your job is to turn vendor data, GA drawings and shipping dates into a fully costed, logic-linked schedule that guides procurement, cranes, trades and commissioning crews. Australian SMP norms, EI&C wiring practices and statutory inspection windows must all be baked in.
Key deliverables
– Level-3/4 Primavera P6 (or equivalent) schedule with resource loading
– Class-3 cost estimate, broken down by labour, plant, materials and prelims
– Progress measurement and reporting templates
– Risk register covering installation, integration and HSE interfaces
Acceptance criteria: schedule aligns with contract milestones, critical path identified, estimate reconciles within ±10 % of benchmark data, and safety constraints are visible in activity coding.
Submit a detailed project proposal explaining your methodology, past Australian installations of comparable scale, and the toolset you intend to use.
