Project Description
I am rolling out SAP Plant Maintenance and Production Planning across a multi-line manufacturing facility and need an experienced functional consultant to get the system configuration right the first time. The focus is on practical, shop-floor-tested settings that match real-world maintenance plans, spare-parts control, and production scheduling—not generic textbook templates.
You will be handed direct access to our sandbox as well as current equipment masters, task lists, BOMs and production routings. Your main job is to translate those assets into a clean, fully-documented configuration that my internal team can promote to QA and, ultimately, to our live environment.
Key deliverables
• Complete configuration of SAP PM and PP objects (work centers, task lists, maintenance plans, order types, MRP parameters, etc.)
• Clear, step-by-step documentation of every setting changed or created, stored in Solution Manager or an agreed repository
• Unit tests that demonstrate preventive-maintenance orders and production orders flowing end-to-end without errors
• A short hand-over call to walk my maintenance planners and production schedulers through the new setup
Acceptance criteria
• Transactions run with zero short-dumps or authorization issues in our QA client
• Maintenance orders generate, release, and settle successfully using our sample equipment
• PP order creation respects available capacity and material master data as per the test script
