Project Description
I’m launching a web experience that lets visitors explore granite and marble flooring choices through rich, room-ready 3D visualizations. The site’s centrepiece will be an interactive visualiser where users pick a slab, swap room layouts, and immediately see how the selected stone looks in context.
Core scope
• Build a modern, responsive website (desktop & mobile) with fast load times.
• Integrate a real-time 3D rendering component — WebGL, three.js or similar — that streams high-quality models of our granite and marble catalogues.
• Each rendering must display full room layouts with flooring applied, giving users a true sense of scale, colour and pattern continuity.
• Smooth UI controls: rotate, zoom, change camera angles, and toggle between different rooms (kitchen, bath, foyer, etc.).
• Simple back-office panel so I can upload new stone textures and room presets without touching code.
Acceptance criteria
1. At least five distinct room scenes rendered in real time with flooring accurately tiled and scaled.
2. Texture fidelity: no visible pixelation at 2× zoom on a 24-inch screen.
3. Fully responsive visualiser that stays above 50 fps on recent Chrome, Safari and Edge releases.
4. Upload process for new textures documented in a short screencast or step-by-step PDF.
If you’ve shipped interactive 3D product configurators or flooring planners before, the tech stack and workflow will feel familiar. Just keep the interface clean, the renders sharp, and provide code that’s easy for future developers to extend.
