Project Description
HIGH PRIORITY: SHOPIFY TECHNICAL SEO + REDIRECT STRUCTURE CLEANUP
Project Overview
This is NOT a standard Shopify SEO project.
The store operates as part of a hybrid ecommerce system connected to Redbubble traffic and Pinterest marketing. The primary issue is technical crawl stability, redirect integrity, and Google Search Console indexing health.
The objective is NOT backlink building, blog SEO, keyword stuffing, AI content generation, or “SEO score optimisation.”
The objective is to stabilise and repair the technical infrastructure of the site without disrupting the existing traffic and conversion ecosystem.
Current Platform Structure
* Shopify store used as a branded hub and traffic layer
* Pinterest is a major traffic source
* Some product URLs redirect to Redbubble product pages
* Existing traffic ecosystem must remain functional
* Large catalogue with thousands of URLs
* Current issue involves over 1,100 404 URLs in Google Search Console
Current Technical Issues
1. Large-scale 404 errors in Google Search Console
2. Redirect validation failing
3. Incomplete redirect coverage across product variants
4. “Crawled currently not indexed” pages
5. Canonical/indexing inconsistencies
6. Potential noindex configuration issues
7. Mixed redirect/product URL structures
Critical Context
This system is NOT a standard Shopify-only checkout store.
Many URLs exist as:
Pinterest → Shopify intermediary URL → Redirect → Redbubble
This architecture must be understood before changes are made.
The project requires someone experienced with:

* Redirect management
* Large catalogue indexing
* Canonical structures
* Crawl diagnostics
Required Tasks

2. Review and diagnose 404 URL causes
3. Build proper redirect coverage strategy
4. Fix redirect inconsistencies where appropriate

6. Review crawl/indexing behaviour
7. Review sitemap health
8. Identify any technical conflicts causing crawl instability
