I have several construction jobs about to break ground and I need reliable, data-driven cost estimates right away. Your brief is straightforward: produce accurate figures for both materials and labour so I can lock budgets, negotiate suppliers, and schedule crews with confidence.
What you will hand over
• An itemised spreadsheet (Excel, Google Sheets or equivalent) that shows unit costs, quantities, sub-totals and a clear grand total for each project.
• A short assumptions sheet that explains your take-offs, cost databases or price lists referenced, labour rates and any regional factors you applied.
• One round of revisions once my team has reviewed the numbers.
Speed matters; I would like the first set of estimates in front of me as soon as practical—ideally within a few days of you receiving drawings and specs. Proven experience with residential or light-commercial builds, familiarity with tools such as RSMeans, CostX or Bluebeam, and an eye for spotting scope gaps will help you stand out.
