Project Description
I need a cross-platform mobile solution for both iOS and Android that helps parents ease the anxiety that constant social-media exposure can create for themselves and their children. The app should let a parent see exactly how—and for how long—each family member is using social networks, block or blur content they consider unhelpful, and step in with timely advice when a binge session is starting to take hold.
Core functionality
• Real-time usage tracking with clear, time-of-day graphs and session alerts
• Smart content filtering that can recognise keywords, hashtags, and age-inappropriate imagery
• Granular parental controls to set daily limits, bedtime locks, and instant pause
• Advisory & monitoring engine that sends gentle prompts or breathing-space suggestions after pre-set thresholds
Deliverables
1. Fully coded mobile app for iOS and Android (single codebase such as Flutter or React Native is fine, but native builds are welcome if you prefer)
2. Simple onboarding flow for parents, including profile creation for multiple children
3. Cloud-based dashboard or in-app analytics screen where usage data is summarised
4. Tested, production-ready builds uploaded to TestFlight and an Android testing channel
5. Source code repository with build instructions and brief technical documentation
6. A short video walkthrough or live demo call so I can see everything working before sign-off
Acceptance criteria
• All four core features operate without crashes on recent iOS and Android versions.
• Usage data updates in under five seconds of activity change.
• Content filters block the chosen keywords across at least the top three social platforms.
• Advisory prompts trigger precisely at the limits I set in settings.
