Project Description
Each week I prepare a single email newsletter for our existing customer list and need a writer who can turn industry news into concise, engaging copy that educates, not sells. The focus is always on useful take-aways from current events in our field so readers feel they’re getting timely insight rather than a sales pitch.
Here’s how the workflow should run: by Monday I’ll share links and notes on the latest industry developments; by Wednesday you return a polished newsletter draft—headline, pre-header, body copy, suggested subject line, and one clear call-to-action that keeps the reader moving deeper into our knowledge hub. I’ll load it into our email marketing platform (Mailchimp), so copy must be formatted for easy pasting and scannability: short paragraphs, occasional sub-heads, and a friendly, authoritative voice consistent with our brand guidelines.
Deliverables each week
• 1 fully written newsletter (≈300–500 words)
• 2 alternative subject lines + pre-headers
• A brief rationale explaining why the chosen story matters to customers
Acceptance criteria
• Content centres on industry news with zero overt product promotion
• Tone: informative, upbeat, conversational, free of jargon
• Final copy proof-read and ready to send—no placeholder text
If your writing turns complex topics into clear value for readers, this should be a smooth, recurring assignment.
