The project consists of designing a modular date sorting facility located within a farm environment.
Number of rooms: 12 rooms
Room size: 6 m × 6 m each
Clear height: 3.0 m
Floor level: Raised platform (+0.60 m above ground)
Layout: U-shaped arrangement
Central area: Open courtyard for vehicle access and material handling
The rooms will be used for initial date sorting, cleaning, and temporary packaging before transferring to a final processing facility.
2) Architectural Scope
The consultant shall provide:
Site plan (overall layout)
Detailed room layout (6×6 modules)
Floor plans, elevations, and sections
U-shaped building configuration
Raised slab/platform details (1.5 m front & rear extension)
Wall construction details:
Lower wall: block + ceramic finish (1 m height)
Upper wall: metal sheet + insulation
Roof system details (metal + insulation)
Door and opening details
Circulation and vehicle movement layout
3) Bill of Quantities (BOQ)
Detailed BOQ for all works
Breakdown by:
Concrete
Blockwork
Finishes
Steel / metal sheets
Insulation
Doors and fixtures
BOQ to be delivered in Excel format.
4) Electrical Design
Lighting layout for each room
Power outlets distribution
Electrical panels and load calculation
Cable routing and wiring diagrams
Outdoor and yard lighting (if required)
5) Plumbing & Drainage
Water supply points (wash basins per room)
Floor drainage system
External drainage layout
Connection to main water source (if applicable)
6) HVAC (Air Conditioning & Ventilation)
Selection of suitable split AC units per room
Cooling load estimation
AC unit locations
Ventilation system (exhaust fans)
Routing for refrigerant piping
7) Structural / Construction Details
Foundation and base plate layout
Anchor bolt positioning
Raised platform construction details
Steel frame integration (if applicable)
Modular construction approach
