Project Description
I’m ready to turn my illustrated children’s book for ages 3-8 into a short 3D-animated video that will serve as a proof of concept for a future short film. All pages are illustrated and the narration script is final; what I need now is your skill in bringing the characters and settings to life in a warm, playful style that keeps very young viewers engaged.
Scope
• Translate each spread into simple, appealing 3D scenes.
• Animate characters, props and light camera moves that match the pacing of the story.
• Record or import the supplied narration, sync it perfectly to the action, and weave in gentle background music and spot SFX.
• Keep the overall running time concise—around two to three minutes is ideal, though we can adjust once story-boards are locked.
Deliverables
• Storyboard/animatic for approval before full production
• Final 1920×1080 (or higher) HD video in MP4 format
• Separate audio stems (VO, music, SFX) and the editable project files so additional shots can be added later
Acceptance
The project is complete when the final video matches the approved storyboard, all visuals feel consistent with the book’s art direction, narration is in sync, and the file plays smoothly without artifacts on a standard media player.
Tools such as Blender, Maya, Cinema 4D or equivalent are perfectly fine as long as the end result is polished and kid-friendly.
If this sounds like a fun challenge, let’s discuss timeline and any assets you might need from me to get rolling.

Here's the advice I got:
• Rework the material into a short cinematic proof of concept using moving visuals, voiceover, spoken dialogue, scene flow, and stronger visual pacing.
• Dialogue and sound should support the story, build emotional tone, and help the viewer connect with the characters.
• Add voiceover, spoken character dialogue, ambient sound, and music that matches the tone of the story. This would help the video feel more like a cinematic presentation rather than a storyboard draft.
• Develop a revised version with filmed scenes or cinematic visual treatment. Even a short 1 to 3 minute teaser with stronger editing, sound, and performance would better represent the project’s screen potential.
• Recommendation: Focus on one or two key emotional moments from the story and present them in a more immersive way through performance, sound, pacing, and visual atmosphere.
• A proof of concept should be ready for presentation to producers, investors, or development professionals. What is needed is a short cinematic teaser with voiceover, spoken dialogue, sound design, stronger pacing, and filmed or more dynamic visuals.
