I already have the full source code of my site, but the look and feel is dated and a couple of essential features are missing. I want a complete UI makeover first—fresh, responsive, and mobile-friendly so the whole site feels modern.
Feature work comes next:
• TikTok integration: I only need the Embed TikTok videos capability. Give me a simple admin field where I can drop a TikTok URL and have the clip appear cleanly inside the page template without slowing anything down.
• Live chat: Every logged-in user should be able to open a real-time chat and talk directly with me (the site owner). Think of it as a one-on-one customer-service channel rather than a public chat room. A lightweight live-chat widget or a custom WebSocket solution is fine as long as messages arrive instantly, are stored securely, and notify me when someone starts a conversation.
I’ll hand over the current codebase and walk you through the existing structure. You handle the UI redesign, integrate the TikTok embeds, wire up the chat (front end and back end), and make sure everything deploys smoothly on my hosting environment.
Acceptance criteria
1. New UI matches approved mock-ups, passes mobile and desktop responsiveness tests.
2. TikTok embed field accepts any public TikTok URL and renders the video without layout breaks.
3. Logged-in user chat reaches me in real time, with read/unread status and basic history saved per user.
4. No regression: all existing pages and functions must keep working.
If you have experience with modern JS frameworks, real-time messaging (Socket.IO, Firebase, or similar), and clean UI/UX design, you’ll be able to knock this out quickly. Let’s get started.
