After upgrading our MySQL Enterprise installation from 8.2 to the 8.4 LTS branch (and preparing for 9.x) our once-snappy system has turned sluggish. Write queries crawl, the server freezes unpredictably, and thread locks show up all over Performance Schema—even though the total data set is still under 500 GB.
I need a senior-level DBA who can jump in remotely, dig through the Optimizer, Thread Pool and mutex statistics, and tell us exactly why query response times, system freezes and thread locks have become daily headaches.
What I expect from the engagement:
• A live diagnostic session (or series) where you profile the workload, expose bottlenecks and benchmark alternatives.
• A concise technical report outlining findings, recommended InnoDB, Thread Pool and other critical variable adjustments tailored to the new LTS/Innovation releases.
• An updated my.cnf (or equivalent) plus any schema or query-level tweaks we should hand off to the local IT team.
Proven experience with high-traffic MySQL Enterprise environments, especially the 8.4/9.x feature set, is essential. Clear communication in English or Spanish and immediate availability for remote work will get this moving quickly.
