Project Description
I already have a fully-working React Native MVP in both iOS and Android stores which is used to create posts and share images, videos; now it is time for a complete redesign and feature expansion while keeping as much of the existing codebase as possible. I am looking for someone who is good with knowledge of posts sharing, friend requests management, My Profile page, Events creation and guest management, payment integrations, gifting system and integrations with Online platforms, Vendor management. More features will be explained during the discussions.
Design overhaul
The new prototype—built with Claude—shows fresh layout and navigation flows, an updated colour palette with new typography, and a modern icon set. You will receive the clickable prototype, style guide, and asset library so you can translate every screen into React Native components that follow best practices for accessibility and responsiveness.
New functionality
• Push notifications (Firebase Cloud Messaging is fine, but I am open to alternatives)
. Event Management
• Secure user authentication (e-mail, Face ID, biometric, PIN)
• In-app purchases like invitation cards, service charges, including sandbox testing and receipt validation.
Existing features to enhance
• Refine the user interface to match the prototype pixel-perfectly
• Improve backend interactions (API error handling, data caching, pagination)
• Optimize performance: bundle size, lazy loading, and smooth animation at 60 fps
Development approach
Because the prototype was generated in Claude, I expect you to lean on Claude Code or comparable AI tools to accelerate boilerplate generation, test writing, and refactoring. The goal is to shorten the delivery timeline without sacrificing quality. I will grant access to the private Git repository and create feature branches with clear tasks. CI/CD need to set up with GitHub Actions; and extend the pipeline where necessary.
Deliverables
1. Updated React Native source code with modular, well-commented commits
2. Backend adjustments (Node + Express) pushed to the same organization repo
3. TestFlight and internal Android builds for review, followed by store-ready releases
4. A short hand-off document covering build commands, environment variables, and release notes
5.Github code
I am based in Bangalore and would prefer someone local for quicker stand-ups and occasional in-person debugging, but remote collaboration is possible if the time zone overlap works. If this sounds interesting, let’s discuss the sprint plan and get started right away.
The app stack is:
• Frontend mobile app: React Native
• Backend API: Node.js + Express/NestJS
• Database: PostgreSQL
• DB GUI: pgAdmin
