Project Description
am a content developer and educator for Civil Services / IAS examination preparation. I create detailed educational videos for aspirants, especially on current affairs, economy, polity, geography, environment, science & technology, and other UPSC-relevant themes.
I am looking for a skilled and reliable video editor who can help me edit long-form educational videos and also create short reels/clips from them for YouTube Shorts, Instagram Reels, and other platforms.
Scope of Work
The work will mainly include:
1. Editing long-form videos
* Videos are usually around 3 to 4 hours long.
* The editor should be able to clean up the video by removing unnecessary pauses, mistakes, repeated portions, and dead time.
* The final video should remain smooth, professional, and easy for students to follow.
* Basic audio improvement, noise reduction, and volume balancing may be required.
2. Creating short reels from long videos
* The editor should identify important, engaging, or high-impact portions from the long lecture.
* These clips should be converted into short reels/shorts that can help popularize my content and grow my YouTube channel.
* Reels should have good pacing, captions, zoom effects where needed, and a professional educational look.
* The editor should understand how to make educational content more attractive without making it look too flashy or irrelevant.
3. Use of AI tools
* I am specifically looking for someone who can use AI tools to speed up the workflow.
* The editor should be comfortable using tools for transcript-based editing, pause removal, auto-captioning, reel extraction, audio cleanup, and quick video repurposing.
* Knowledge of tools like Descript, CapCut, Premiere Pro AI tools, DaVinci Resolve, Opus Clip, Vizard, or similar platforms will be preferred.
4. YouTube growth orientation
* The editor should understand how YouTube content works.
* Ability to suggest better clip points, engaging hooks, and short-form formats will be an added advantage.
* Experience in editing educational content, UPSC/IAS content, coaching videos, or lecture-based content will be preferred
