Job Description
I’m starting a YouTube channel inspired by the style of Christian animation channels like CSLewisDoodle, ChristianStory, and TheBibleProject (encourage you to have a look at those).
The content is explicitly Christian, and focuses on:
Theology
Philosophy
Moral and abstract ideas
I will provide:
Full script
Completed voiceover audio
Your role is to:
Turn the audio into a visually engaging animated video
Use drawings, text, motion, and SFX to communicate complex ideas clearly
Match pacing and tone to the narration
What I’m Looking For:
Experience with 2D animation
Strong visual storytelling ability (not just drawing)
Ability to interpret and visualize abstract, philosophical, and theological concepts
Comfortable working with explicitly Christian content and themes
Good sense of timing, pacing, and emphasis
Clear communication and reliability
You do not need to be a theologian, but you should be able to:
Understand nuanced ideas
Translate them into clear, simple visuals
Project Scope:
Typical videos: 15–50 minutes
I’m looking for a long-term collaborator (not just one project)
Consistent workflow if we’re a good fit
Pay to be negotiated based on skill. May increase over time for the right person as the channel grows.
Trial Task (Paid)
Before committing to a full video, I’d like to start with a short paid test:
~2 minutes of audio
You create a sample animation
Paid trial (we’ll agree on price)
This helps ensure we’re a good fit stylistically.
