Project Description
My Windows Server-hosted application used to open almost instantly but now sits spinning for up to two minutes before the main window appears. Nothing in the interface or code has been changed on my side, yet the delay is consistent for every user who launches it through Remote Desktop or directly on the server console.
I’m looking for someone who can:
• Remotely profile the startup sequence (PerfMon, Event Viewer, ProcMon, or your preferred tools)
• Pinpoint the exact bottleneck—whether it’s DLL loading, network lookups, disk I/O, group policy, antivirus, or anything else uncovered during tracing
• Propose and implement a clean fix that does not compromise security or stability
• Provide a brief report explaining root cause, the steps you took, and how to prevent a recurrence
Acceptance criterion: the application should open in under five seconds on the same hardware once your work is complete.
You’ll receive full administrative access to a cloned test VM first, then schedule a short maintenance window to apply the solution on production.
