Project Description
I need a qualified Certificate III / First Class welder.
*** JOB IS IN MELBOURNE'S SOUTH EAST.
Need you to weld together and attach a 4.8-metre steel railing to an existing outdoor stair flight.
All the required steel, (posts, horizontals, balustrades, and handrail will be on site to put together and attach to one stair stringer.
This is an on-site physical welding job. Remote or international bids will be ignored***
The brief is deliberately straightforward—simple, functional lines only—so the focus is purely on strong, tidy welds that can handle the elements and regular foot traffic.
All steel, fittings and basic consumables will be waiting on site; bring your own welding rig and safety gear. I did not lock us into MIG, TIG or stick, so choose whichever process you feel will deliver the cleanest, most durable results on location.
Scope of work
• Position and secure the railing accurately along the full 4.8 m run
• Complete all welds, ensuring full penetration and neat finishing ready for paint or galvanising
• Quick grind‐back and touch-up where needed—no rough spatter left behind
• Final inspection with me before sign-off
Acceptance criteria
– Railing sits true, level and square to the stair stringers
– Welds show no visible porosity, undercut or cracking
– Site left clean of swarf, off-cuts and slag
If you hold the right ticket, can turn up with the correct gear and can guarantee a rock-solid result, let’s lock in a time.
