I need a full stack developer and Android app specialist to create a falls management social care application. We’re building a system that places NFC tags where care happens — on residents’ mobility aids (where present), bed-frames, and door-frames, with an optional consent-driven silicone wristband. Staff tap their phone and instantly see a traffic light status (Green/Amber/Red) with key clinical flags. The status is set by senior nursing staff via a guided MFRS-based clinical workflow. We’re seeking proposals to build this in three potential phases. You may quote for any one phase, multiple phases, or all three. Project context The problem Falls in UK care homes drive 255,000 emergency hospital admissions per year and cost the NHS £2.3 billion. The single biggest preventable contributor is staff acting on incorrect mobility information — assisting alone when two staff are needed, or hovering when a resident is independent. Agency and bank staff are particularly vulnerable to this gap because they don’t know individual residents. The clinical assessment of mobility risk already exists — the Multifactorial Falls Risk Screen (MFRS) is the established 13-factor falls assessment used across UK care homes. The problem is that MFRS data lives in the care plan, not in the moment of action. Nobody reads 13 risk factors before helping a resident from a chair to a commode. The solution A two-part system: 1. NFC tags placed where care happens — on mobility aids (where present), bed-frames, door-frames, and optionally on consent-driven silicone wristbands. Multiple tags per resident; all resolve to the same record. Body-attached / adhesive tags are explicitly out of scope. 2. An Android app for staff. Tap phone → instant display of traffic light status + 3–5 short clinical flags drawn from the resident’s MFRS assessment. Behind it sits an admin/clinical portal where senior nurses run a guided MFRS workflow that auto-generates the mitigation flags from a clinical rule library. Every status change and every scan is logged. What you’ll be building (overview) Three components common to all phases (with depth varying by phase): • Staff Android app. Mobile-native. Reads NFC tags (NTAG213/215). Displays resident status, key flags, and metadata. Cached for offline use. Designed for sub-3-second comprehension by anyone on shift. • Cloud backend. Stores residents, mobility status, mitigation plans, audit log. UK data residency. Encrypted in transit and at rest. RESTful API consumed by both the app and the admin portal. • Admin / clinical web portal. Used by registered nurses and care home managers to run assessments, update status, monitor scans, and manage the audit trail. The app is primarily for healthcare professionals in social care. Key features include: NFC tags Android app Dashboard Mitigation plans Essential functionality: - Data analytics and reports Ideal skills and experience: - Proficiency in full stack development - Experience building Android applications - Strong background in data analytics - Familiarity with health monitoring technologies Please provide portfolios showcasing similar projects.
