PROJECT TITLE: Custom Dog Playgroup Matching Program for Dog Daycare ABOUT US: Canine Clubhouse is an established dog daycare focused on safe, structured, enrichment‑based play. Our team currently groups dogs manually based on temperament, size, and play style. We want to streamline this process with a simple digital tool that helps our staff make consistent, data‑driven grouping decisions. WHAT WE NEED BUILT: A lightweight, user‑friendly software tool (web‑based preferred, but open to desktop/app solutions) that helps staff quickly match dogs into appropriate playgroups based on: Temperament assessment (ex: confident, timid, selective, high‑energy, etc.) Play style (ex: rough‑and‑tumble, chase, gentle social, wallflower) Size class (small, medium, large) Behavior notes (optional free‑text) The tool should analyze this information and suggest recommended groups of compatible dogs. KEY FEATURES WE WANT: Staff can create and save dog profiles Staff can edit/update dogs’ behavioral notes or play style as needed System suggests compatible play groups for a given day Ability to mark dogs as “not compatible with ____” Simple interface — our team needs speed and clarity, not complexity Export or print daily grouping lists (nice to have, not required) Ideally could run in a browser on a laptop/tablet at the daycare TECH SCOPE (Flexible): We are open to your recommendation. This could be built as: A small web application (preferred) A lightweight internal app A database with a simple UI No integration with our existing systems is required at this time. EXAMPLES OF WHAT WE MEAN: We currently use manual tools like The Dog Gurus’ “Match the Dog Game” and our staff’s behavioral notes. We want a tool that automates this logic so staff—especially new hires—can make consistent, safe grouping decisions. IDEAL FREELANCER: Experience in building simple custom apps or workflow tools Comfortable proposing a technical approach that fits our needs Ability to translate dog‑behavior criteria into clear logic Strong communicator who can explain tech in non‑technical language Bonus: experience with pet care, animal behavior tools, or scheduling systems DELIVERABLES: Functional program/tool delivered with clear instructions Admin access to edit categories or criteria in the future Basic onboarding documentation or short training video for staff BUDGET & TIMELINE: Budget: open to quotes based on scope Timeline: ideally completed within 4–8 weeks NEXT STEPS: When applying, please share: A brief description of how you’d approach the project Examples of similar tools you’ve built Your estimated timeline and cost
