I have a newly built pine shed in Mississauga with the windows and roof already in place, and I’m ready to have it stained. I’m looking for a professional finish that lets the grain show through, so a semi-transparent stain is the exact look I want. Before any stain goes on, the exterior will need a thorough sanding to open the pores and smooth out minor mill marks; please include that prep work in your quote and timeline. Please note, there is a fence within 3 feet from two walls.
The job is straightforward: sand the pine cladding, apply the semi-transparent stain evenly on all visible wood surfaces, and leave the site tidy once everything is dry. If you prefer to work with specific brands or have recommendations on the best semi-transparent products for pine, let me know—I’m open to suggestions as long as the final colour stays consistent.
Because the structure is already enclosed, there’s no concern about interior overspray, but care around the installed windows and roof line is essential. Weather permitting, I’d like the project completed within the next couple of weeks.
