1. A critical report on a current health and social care need pertinent to an
immigrant population/asylum seekers. The report must meet all five of the module Learning Outcomes:
1. Critically appraise the concept of cultural diversity in people, taking into account
individual needs and preferences and the significance of mental, physical and
emotional vulnerability across the lifespan.
2. Consolidate and extend knowledge and understanding of global and national
public health and social agenda, analysing data to inform an understanding of trends
in illness and disease
3. Optimise opportunities to engage with patients, their carers and significant others
in raising awareness of negative health and social behaviours and motivation.
4. Apply effective communication skills to enhance partnership working and facilitate
ways to help people understand and make informed decisions about their health
behaviours, life choices and care.
5. Demonstrate the ability to write concisely to the assessment brief
