Shopify Store Build — Clone Existing Australian Website
PROJECT DESCRIPTION
I have an existing website built on Netlify and want it rebuilt on Shopify with the same look, feel, and content. The site is for a small Australian curated gift box business based in regional New South Wales. I want a clean clone — not a redesign.
The reason for the move is admin simplicity (the owner isn't technical) and to add modern payment methods including Apple Pay, Shop Pay, and Afterpay.
I will share the existing website link and brand assets privately with shortlisted candidates.
SCOPE OF WORK
What I need you to do:
1. Set up the Shopify store on my existing Shopify account (I will add you as a Staff/Collaborator).
2. Replicate the existing site:
- Homepage with all current sections (hero, three product collections, testimonials, how it works, suppliers, FAQ, Instagram feed)
- Pages: Shop, Our Story, Corporate, Contact, Gallery, Product Quiz
- All copy, imagery, and structure preserved — same look, same content
- Mobile-optimised
3. Add 3 products with descriptions, photos, and pricing (I will provide all materials). Starting price around 169 AUD per product.
4. Add a "Personalised Message" custom field to all products (a free app like Infinite Options is fine).
5. Configure shipping:
- Free local delivery for one specific postcode
- $15 AUD flat rate postage Australia-wide
- Click and Collect option
6. Configure email notifications:
- Order notifications routed to the owner's email address
- Branded customer order confirmation email
7. Basic on-page SEO:
- Page titles and meta descriptions for all pages and products
- Sitemap submitted to Google Search Console
8. Deliver a working test order through the full flow before handover.
THEME
Use Dawn (free) unless you recommend a paid theme that closely matches the aesthetic — if so, quote the theme cost separately. The current site has an editorial, premium feel: cream and neutral palette, serif headlines with italic accents, large lifestyle imagery.
OUT OF SCOPE (I will handle these)
- Shopify Payments activation (requires owner ID verification)
- Domain DNS migration
- Google Business Profile setup
- Ongoing content and marketing
- Product photography (I will supply existing photos)
MATERIALS I WILL PROVIDE
- Logo files
- All product and lifestyle photography
- Full website copy
- Brand colour codes and typography choices
- Shopify Staff and Collaborator access
- Access to the order notification inbox for testing
DELIVERABLES
- Fully built Shopify store on my account, ready to go live
- Loom or written walkthrough of how to manage products, orders, and basic settings (for the owner, who isn't technical)
- List of any apps installed, with monthly costs
- Confirmation that a test order completes end-to-end (Apple Pay tested on iPhone, customer email received, owner notification received, refund processed)
REQUIREMENTS
- All work done on my Shopify account — not your dev environment
- No paid apps installed without my approval first
- Australian English throughout (e.g. organise, colour, recognise) — non-negotiable
- Theme code customisations documented in a short note so I can hand off later if needed
TIMELINE AND BUDGET
- Timeline: 5 to 7 days from start
- Budget: Quote a fixed price. I'm expecting 200 to 400 AUD for this scope. If your quote is higher, please explain what's included.
- Revisions: Two rounds of revisions included
