Project Description
I’m looking for a back-end developer who lives and breathes MySQL. The immediate priority is solid database management: auditing what I already have, tightening up performance, and making sure the structure can scale without surprises later on.
You’ll dive into the existing MySQL instance, review schema decisions, spot inefficient queries, and propose changes that cut response times. If we decide a redesign or data migration is the right move, I’ll rely on you to script it safely and document every step.
Deliverables I expect
• A reviewed or redesigned schema in a .sql file ready to run
• A set of optimized queries with before/after benchmarks
• Clear migration or rollout instructions so I can reproduce your work in staging and production
Please bring experience with common tooling—MySQL Workbench, command-line utilities, and any performance-profiling approaches you prefer. If you’ve automated backups or implemented replication in past projects, let me know; it may become part of phase two.
I’m ready to start as soon as I find the right fit and will stay responsive so we can keep momentum.
