Project Description
I’m enhancing a full-stack delivery platform and now need help on the frontend side only. The backend APIs (Node.js / Express with a MySQL data layer) are in place; your focus will be the HTML, CSS and vanilla JavaScript interface that sits on top of them.
Core scope
• Customer module – build the profile management screens with clean, intuitive navigation.
• Order workflow – take charge of the entire order-processing interface; this is an end-to-end development task, from “create order” through every status change until completion.
• Driver & tracking dashboard – consume the existing real-time endpoints and render live maps, route details and ETA updates in a single view.
UX & performance goals
The UI must stay lightweight, responsive and scalable, handling thousands of concurrent deliveries without sluggishness. Clear component structure, reusable styles and efficient API calls are critical.
Integration
All data flow is REST-based. I’ll supply Swagger docs and sample payloads so you can wire up fetch logic without touching server code.
Deliverables
1. Fully responsive HTML/CSS/JS source (no frameworks required, but you’re free to organise code using ES6 modules or a build step if that speeds development).
2. Connected profile-management screens that read/write customer data correctly.
3. Order-processing pages showing each stage in real time, wired to the existing status endpoints.
4. Interactive dashboard panel with live route visualisation and driver allocation info.
Acceptance criteria
• Zero console errors in Chrome, Firefox and Edge.
• Page load <2 s on a 3G connection.
• All API interactions confirmed via provided Postman test suite.
If you’ve built logistics or tracking UIs before, that’s a plus, but solid frontend craftsmanship and clean, well-commented code are what matter most. Let’s create an interface that makes delivery operations effortless for dispatchers and customers alike.
