Long-term Structural Engineer for Pool Construction

# Structural Engineer – Swimming Pools (Melbourne, Australia) We are a growing swimming pool construction company based in Melbourne, Australia, looking for a reliable and experienced structural engineer to work with us long term. Initially, we expect approximately one project every 4–5 weeks while we continue setting up and scaling the business. Our target is to deliver approximately 85 swimming pools per year within the next 18 months, so we are looking for someone who wants to build an ongoing working relationship with us as the company grows. ## Scope of Work Projects will vary from: * Small and straightforward residential swimming pools * High-end custom concrete pools * Detailed architectural pools with complex features and engineering requirements We require: * Structural engineering for concrete swimming pools * Hydraulic design and documentation * Engineering documentation compliant with all relevant Australian Standards and Victorian requirements * Clear, professional, and consistent document presentation across every project ## What We Need From You We are looking for an engineer who: * Responds quickly and communicates well * Is solution-focused and collaborative * Can work closely with our construction team throughout projects * Understands practical pool construction methods * Can maintain consistency in documentation formatting and presentation ## Turnaround Expectations * Standard/basic pool engineering: returned within 3 business days * Complex/high-end pool initial draft: returned within 5–7 business days * Amendments during construction: within 24 hours maximum once the job is onsite Fast response times are critical for us. ## Commercial Requirements Please provide: * Fixed pricing for standard pool engineering packages * Clear scope guidelines outlining what is included/excluded * Rates or process for variations and complex custom work ## Preferred Experience Highly regarded if you have experience with: * Residential concrete swimming pools * High-end/custom pool projects * Australian pool construction standards * Victorian residential engineering requirements We are looking for a long-term engineering partner, not just a one-off freelancer.
