Project Description
I’m launching my Shopify store as a flagship experience for a premium D2C label whose entire purpose is to showcase a luxury brand. Every touchpoint must feel refined, effortless and unmistakably high-finish.
The Mission
We are looking for a high-caliber Shopify Developer to build the digital home for a premium menswear brand. You won’t just be "setting up a store"; you will be taking a bare-bones theme and pushing it into the realm of custom software. Using Liquid, HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript, you will create a front-end that balances modern minimalism with classic elegance—prioritizing ample negative space, disciplined typography, and a polished color palette.
The Core Pillars
Performance: High-resolution imagery that loads instantly.
Exclusivity: A secure, gated member section for "Founders Batch" access.
Precision: An architectural UI that reflects a product-first, "unloud" brand philosophy.
Core Responsibilities
Strategic Mapping: Craft detailed user-flow charts (Figma/Whimsical) before writing code to validate every conversion path and "Founders" entry point.
Custom Architecture: Code bespoke Shopify sections and interactions to luxury-grade standards. We favor Vanilla JS over heavy libraries to keep the site lean and fast.
Retina-Grade Performance: Implement advanced responsive image sets (srcset) and lazy-loading to maintain a Google PageSpeed score of 90+ on both mobile and desktop.
Search & AI Visibility: Execute technical SEO plus AEO (Answer Engine Optimization). You will implement deep JSON-LD structured data so the brand surfaces accurately on both traditional search engines and AI assistants.
Agile Feedback Loop: Operate within a tight feedback cycle with clearly defined milestones and a commitment to on-time delivery for our upcoming launch.
Technical Requirements
Expert Liquid Proficiency: Deep knowledge of Shopify’s templating language.
Mobile-First Mentality: Flawless execution across all device breakpoints.
SEO/AEO Specialist: Proven ability to build for "Search & Answer" discovery.
Minimalist UI/UX Portfolio: A track record of "Quiet Luxury" or high-end fashion projects that prove you understand the value of negative space.
Acceptance Criteria (The Handover)
Validated Logic: Signed-off user flow charts (PDF or Figma).
The Build: Fully packaged Shopify theme files, optimized and ready for transfer.
QA Proof: Verified mobile, tablet, and desktop QA report.
Performance Proof: PageSpeed 90+ verified screenshots for core product and landing pages.
The Blueprint: A one-page handover guide covering custom CSS classes, Liquid sections, and AEO schema structure.
