The goal is to overhaul the navigation on our existing site so visitors no longer struggle to find the information they need. Improving the overall user experience is the single priority; the aesthetic look and new feature requests can wait until the menu structure feels effortless on both desktop and mobile. Right now, the navigation is bloated and scattered, and users report that locating key pages takes too many clicks. I want a cleaner, well-labeled hierarchy that surfaces our most-visited content quickly, trims or combines redundant menu items, and performs smoothly across all screen sizes. Fast load times must be preserved while we restructure. Deliverables • Brief UX audit summarising current pain points backed by analytics or quick user tests • Proposed information architecture: revised sitemap, menu labels, and page grouping • Low-fidelity wireframes (desktop & mobile) to illustrate flow and hierarchy • High-fidelity clickable prototype for stakeholder sign-off • Final navigation assets: HTML / CSS / JavaScript snippets or comprehensive specs ready for our internal dev team • Handoff notes detailing rationale, interaction states, and responsive behaviour Acceptance criteria • Usability test shows 90 % of sample users reach any primary page in ≤3 clicks • No new page exceeds existing load times • Navigation scales cleanly to mobile widths without hidden items or overflow Preferred tools are Figma or Sketch for design and standard front-end tech (CSS Grid/Flexbox, vanilla JS or lightweight framework) for any coded elements, but I’m open to your proven workflow. Timeline and milestones are flexible as long as we can move from audit to final handoff within a realistic, agreed-upon schedule. Let me know how you’d approach the audit and your estimated turnaround for each stage so we can get started.
