Project Description
The site is only 78 ft × 26.2 ft, so every square foot has to work hard. I’m after a complete contemporary architectural solution that extracts maximum livable area while keeping the layout light, airy and—above all—energy-efficient.
Here’s what I need from you:
• Concept-to-permit drawing package: site plan, floor plans, elevations and a simple 3-D massing model that clearly communicates volumes and materials.
• An envelope strategy that minimises heat gain/loss—think insulation values, shading devices, passive ventilation and a roof that can easily accept solar panels.
• Recommendations on sustainable materials or systems suitable for a narrow urban lot.
Large windows or an open floor plan could be explored if they support the energy goals, but the non-negotiable is integrating solid energy-efficient elements throughout. I’ll provide local zoning data, setbacks and any survey information I have once we start.
Files in PDF and the native format of your preferred software (Revit, Archicad, SketchUp, etc.) will be needed so my structural and MEP consultants can continue the project without conversion headaches. I’m happy to answer further site-specific questions as they arise to keep the design process smooth and collaborative.
