I want a clean, responsive website that lets my transport team move every piece of vehicle-maintenance paperwork out of filing cabinets and into the cloud. The site’s core job is simple: take the physical logs we already produce, scan them straight from a phone or desktop scanner, store them securely online, and make them instantly searchable whenever we need to prove a service was done.
Key functionality I must have
• Integrated document scanning (camera upload or PDF import) that automatically attaches to the correct vehicle record.
• Secure online storage with logical folders or tags so nothing ever gets misplaced.
• Fast search and retrieval by vehicle, date, service type, or any keyword we add.
A straightforward back-office dashboard is essential so my mechanics or office staff can add new scans, review what’s already there, and download a copy in seconds. If you can keep the interface intuitive, we’ll be able to train the crew in minutes.
Tech stack is your choice—Laravel, Node, Django, or another modern framework—as long as you build something dependable and easy to maintain. I’m open to suggestions on OCR, indexing, and hosting, and I’ll look favorably on anyone who can outline how they’ll keep the data secure and backed up.
Deliver the full source code, a short setup guide, and a live demo link so I can test search speed with a few sample scans. Once it passes that check, we’ll roll it straight into production.
