I’m building a history-spanning god simulation in Unity that hinges on innovative storytelling rather than the usual spreadsheet-style management. Think of it as guiding entire civilizations from antiquity to a speculative future, watching their myths, politics, and technology evolve in response to the player’s divine nudges.
Core pillars I need you to prototype and, ultimately, flesh out:
• Dynamic world-building – continents shift, resources ebb, borders redraw, and cultures branch organically over thousands of in-game years.
• Player-driven narratives – key moments should emerge from in-engine systems, not pre-written cut-scenes, so every play-through tells a different “alt-history.”
• Complex AI behavior – individual agents and factions must react logically to landscape changes, divine interventions, and each other’s ambitions.
Historical scope is broad: we begin with ancient civilizations, pass through medieval realms, step into recognizable modern history, and eventually blossom into a near-future era, all within one seamless timeline.
What I’d like to see first is a playable vertical slice in Unity that proves:
1. A procedurally generated map where terrain and climate influence settlement growth.
2. At least two eras (e.g., Ancient → Medieval) simulated continuously, with population groups showing distinct behaviors per era.
3. A lightweight event system that surfaces emergent stories the player can amplify, twist, or ignore.
4. Transparent, inspector-friendly scripts so balance tweaks are straightforward.
We’ll iterate in milestones, each adding new eras, deeper AI layers, and richer storytelling hooks. If you live for systemic design, love Unity’s data-oriented tools, and can keep performance in mind while worlds evolve for centuries, let’s talk.

Short Description
I am seeking a skilled Unity developer to help create a playable prototype for WONDREZ, an original god simulation / civilisation evolution game.
WONDREZ is a game where players influence the lives of individual simulated beings called Rez, guiding their personal development, relationships, hardships, discoveries, and choices. Over time, these individual lives shape villages, cultures, institutions, and eventually the course of civilisation.
The core tagline is:
Shape the lives that shape history.
This first project is for a small vertical-slice prototype, not the full game.
