I am launching a high-end online store for my Swiss bee-product brand and need the first production-ready version built entirely from scratch. Around 10–15 products—honeys, propolis-based items, curated gift sets, and corporate gift bundles—will be sold, so the catalogue is focused yet demands a luxurious, premium look.
Platform
I am still deciding between WooCommerce and Shopify. I would like you to analyse both, outline the pros and cons for speed, Swiss payment integration, long-term scalability and ownership costs, and then recommend the stronger fit.
Core requirements
• Visual identity: I already have a colour palette; beyond that I will lean on you to shape a cohesive brand guideline that feels luxurious and premium while remaining clean and modern.
• Design & development: mobile-first, blazing fast, technically sound, and compliant with Swiss/European standards. No off-the-shelf “cheap template” installs—this needs to feel bespoke.
• Commerce features: secure checkout, Swiss/European payment methods (TWINT, PostFinance, Payrexx, Datatrans, Stripe, etc.), shipping rules, product variants, real-time stock, and well-structured product pages.
• Optimisation: basic on-page SEO, schema where relevant, Google Analytics & Search Console setup, and an architecture that can expand into multilingual/multi-currency later.
• Compliance: GDPR-ready cookie notice, privacy, terms, imprint, and all legal pages expected for the Swiss market.
• Launch & support: QA, cross-device testing, go-live assistance, and a short post-launch bug-fix window.
