UK Residential Structural Design Partner

I regularly take on extensions, loft conversions and internal re-configurations across the UK and I’m looking to build a long-term relationship with a structural engineer who can turn my architects’ sketches into fully-checked, Building-Control-ready packages. You can be anywhere in China (or work remotely elsewhere) as long as you are comfortable with UK standards. For every project you will receive existing architectural plans in DWG/PDF format. From these I need structural calculations that satisfy Eurocodes / current British Standards, concise Building Regulations notes and clear design drawings that a local builder and Building Control officer can follow for detached, semi-detached and terraced houses alike. Typical software in our workflow includes AutoCAD (or similar), TEDDS, or equivalent analysis tools—use whichever you prefer as long as the output is transparent and traceable. Deliverables for each instruction • Structural calculation report (PDF) • Marked-up GA and detail drawings (DWG + PDF) • Compliance statement or notes suitable for Building Control submission Accuracy, quick turnaround and the ability to explain your assumptions are what matter most to me.
