Structural Engineer Required – Police Training Center Building (Eurocode / French Code)
I am seeking an experienced structural engineer to carry out the full structural design for a police training center building project based on the attached architectural design .
The project is a controlled-access institutional facility including lecture halls, classrooms, conference areas, administration spaces, dining, and service zones arranged around a central circulation core.
Project details:
* Building type: Police training center (controlled / institutional use)
* Project location: Djibouti
* Floor height: 4.0 m
* Architectural layout already completed and will be provided in full
* Structural design must comply with French / Eurocode standards
Key design requirements:
* Column placement must respect the architectural layout and avoid disrupting functional spaces such as lecture halls, conference halls, and dining areas
* Structural system should allow for large-span spaces where required (e.g. halls and open areas)
* Beams should be coordinated with architecture and concealed where possible, especially in main public areas
* All façade elements and architectural projections must be considered in the structural design
* Efficient and buildable structural system is required
Scope of work:
Phase 1 – Concept Structural Layout
* Propose column grid and structural system
* Define beam layout and slab type
* Ensure full coordination with architectural spaces
* Any structural elements shown in the architectural drawings should be disregarded at this stage
Phase 2 – Detailed Structural Design (after approval)
* Full structural analysis and calculations
* Foundation design
* Reinforced concrete detailing (or proposed system)
* Structural drawings suitable for construction
Deliverables:
* Structural layout drawings (columns, beams, slabs)
* Structural calculation report (Eurocode compliant)
* Foundation drawings
* Detailed structural drawings (plans, sections, details)
