Project Description
I’m adding a detached, wood-framed shed in the back yard of my single-family home and need a full plan set that my local building department will approve without back-and-forth revisions. The structure will function as a workshop, sit on a concrete-slab foundation, and include a single sink with hot- and cold-water supplies tied into the house line and a drain connected to the existing sanitary sewer.
What I already have
• Lot survey in PDF
• Photos of the rear yard and existing house
• Basic sketch with rough dimensions
What I need from you
• Scaled site plan locating the new shed, setbacks, and utility runs
• Dimensioned floor plan, elevations, and roof outline in compliance with residential code
• Foundation and slab details suitable for a concrete inspection
• Plumbing layout and isometric/riser diagram showing supply and waste lines, venting, and tie-ins
• General notes, material specs, and code references for a wood structure used as a workshop
• Completed permit application forms (I will sign and submit)
Acceptance criteria
1. Plan set is delivered in PDF (for the city) and DWG (for my records).
2. Drawings meet the checklist of [city/municipality] residential accessory structures.
3. Any minor revisions requested by the reviewer are included in the original fee.
If you regularly prepare residential permit drawings and can turn this around quickly, let’s get started—I’m ready to share the survey and sketches right away.
