Project Description
I need a clean, responsive portfolio site that allows my collages, drawings, and other mixed-media pieces to speak for themselves. The sole purpose is to showcase these projects, so every design choice should serve the artwork.
Layout & Look
• Simple, white or neutral backdrop with bold, legible fonts for headings and quiet body text.
• Generous negative space so each image can breathe.
• Smooth, distraction-free navigation—think thumbnail grid leading to fullscreen lightbox views or dedicated project pages.
Core Functionality
• Gallery system that lets me upload new pieces quickly, arrange them by series, and add short captions or process notes.
• Fully responsive on desktop, tablet, and mobile.
• Basic “About” and “Contact” sections; no blog or shop for now.
• Fast loading and optimized images without compromising quality.
Tech Flexibility
Whether you prefer custom HTML/CSS/JS, a lightweight framework such as Gatsby/Next.js, or a minimalist CMS like Kirby or Statamic, I’m open—as long as maintenance stays simple.
Deliverables
1. Complete, deployable website files (or CMS setup) matching the design guidelines.
2. Read-me or short Loom walkthrough showing me how to add new artwork.
3. One round of post-launch tweaks to fix any small layout or responsiveness issues discovered in real-world use.
Feel free to share a quick wireframe or reference site with your proposal so I can see how you’d let the art take centre stage.
