Project Description
Hardware Prototyping: GSM-Controlled Motorized Smart Lock (Custom Design)
Project Description:
I am looking for an experienced Electronics/Hardware Engineer to develop a functional prototype of a custom GSM-based smart lock designed for farmhouse and agricultural security.
Unlike standard "plug-and-play" kits, this is a custom-built system designed for high durability and specialized mechanical features.
Key Technical Requirements:
Microcontroller: Arduino Nano or ESP32 preferred for the initial prototype.
GSM Module: Must use SIM800L or a 4G-compatible module (e.g., SIM7600) for remote operation via SMS and Call.
Actuation: High-torque 12V DC motor control (Actuator or High-Torque Metal Gear Servo).
Custom "Wiggle/Multi-Fire" Logic: The system must be programmed to attempt the locking/unlocking action multiple times (2-3 pulses) to ensure the mechanical bolt seats correctly in the gate hinge, even if there is slight misalignment.
User Management: The system should allow the user to save their phone number as the "Master Admin" via a specific SMS command and manage additional guest numbers.
Power Management: Design for 12V DC input with a focus on low standby power consumption. Must include a circuit for a backup battery.
Deliverables:
Full schematic and wiring diagram.
Clean, commented Arduino/C++ source code.
Bill of Materials (BOM) with links to source components in the Indian market.
A short video demonstration of the functional circuit (Breadboard or Protoboard).
Ideal Skills:
Embedded Systems (Arduino/AVR).
GSM/GPRS/4G module integration (AT Commands).
Motor control and PWM.
Previous experience with IoT or electronic locks is a plus.
Project Type: Fixed Price / Prototype Development
