**Job Title:** Webcomic Artist Needed for Fantasy Series (Full Color, Long-Term) **Project Overview:** I’m the producer and writer of an ongoing fantasy webcomic titled *Kree & Damonthax*. The story centers on a scarred unicorn and a one-eyed blue dragon navigating rivalry, loneliness, and an evolving emotional bond. The tone blends character-driven drama, visual humor, and cinematic fantasy. My current artist is no longer available, so I’m looking for a reliable, skilled replacement to take over full production of the comic’s visual side. **What I Provide:** * Detailed scripts for each page (panel-by-panel descriptions, dialogue, tone notes) * Mocked-up page layouts for composition and pacing * Character designs and visual references * Ongoing direction and feedback You will not be working from vague ideas—I provide clear, structured guidance so you can focus on execution and artistic quality. **Requirements (Read Carefully):** * Must use Clip Studio Paint (version 4) * Must be willing to make revisions at every stage (roughs, line art, color). I will do my best to ensure clarity during the rough stage to minimize back-and-forth * Must be reliable and communicative * Must be able to deliver at least **1 finished full-color page every 2 weeks** **What I Need (Full Visual Production):** The artist will be responsible for **all visual elements of each page**, including: * Roughs / sketch layouts (based on my mockups) * Final line art * Coloring and basic shading * Panel layout and composition * Lettering, including speech bubbles, captions, and text placement **Style Requirements:** * Clean, expressive linework * Strong sense of motion and readability * Strong lettering sense (clear, readable, well-placed dialogue and bubbles) * Experience with fantasy creatures (dragons, unicorns, magic effects) is a big plus * Ability to balance emotional scenes with light comedic beats **Scope & Workload:** * Ongoing project (not a one-off) * Starting with a small paid test (1–2 pages) to ensure fit * Then transitioning to regular page production **Budget:** * Preferred rate is **$50 USD per full-color page** * I am willing to negotiate higher rates depending on the artist’s experience, efficiency, and any additional value they bring beyond the core requirements (e.g., exceptional rendering, strong visual storytelling input, faster turnaround, etc.) * Please include your per-page rate when applying **File Delivery & Rights:** * Upon final payment, all completed artwork will be fully owned by me and may be used for commercial purposes (including promotion, publishing, and merchandising) without restriction * For each completed page, please deliver: 1. A high-resolution PNG of the full comic page (with lettering) 2. A high-resolution PNG of the page without speech bubbles/text (for promotional use) 3. The original Clip Studio Paint (version 4) working file **Required Before Applying:** To understand the tone and expectations of the project, please watch all video episodes here: [https://youtu.be/gcTbkcUm6nc?si=UWYHM3Mc8tiKFOM6](https://youtu.be/gcTbkcUm6nc?si=UWYHM3Mc8tiKFOM6) **How to Apply:** Please include: 1. Portfolio with sequential art (comics required, not just illustrations) 2. Examples of full-color work 3. Any experience with fantasy or creature design 4. Your typical turnaround time per page 5. Your per-page rate **Important:** Reliability and communication matter as much as skill. I’m looking for a long-term collaborator who can help bring this story to life consistently. If you’re passionate about character-driven fantasy and want to be part of an ongoing series, I’d love to hear from you.
