I have a factory-supplied set of drawings for a small control booth that will sit on top of a standard shipping container here in Lincoln, Nebraska. What I still need is the structural engineering package that ties everything together and proves it works under the International Building Code. Scope • Design the interface between booth and container, using a sensible mix of welded and bolted connections. • Size footings for the container based on 1,500 psf allowable soil bearing pressure and the local 36 in. frost depth. • Run a complete gravity and lateral load analysis—dead, live, wind and seismic per current IBC—and produce clear calculations. Deliverables 1. Stamped (PE) connection details and footing drawings in PDF and CAD. 2. Full calculation set showing load paths, member checks, weld/bolt design, and footing capacity. 3. Brief design summary that I can hand to the local building official. I will provide the manufacturer’s booth and container drawings as soon as we begin. Let me know your turnaround time, the software you plan to use (RISA, SAP2000, STAAD, etc. are all fine), and any information you still need from me.
