Project Description
I am standing up a full, multi-tenant Network Operations Center that must handle both L1 monitoring and L2 operational tasks for our managed-service customers. From day one the stack has to scale, isolate tenants cleanly, and integrate into our existing ITSM workflow.
Monitoring & Dashboards
• Monitoring platform: Zabbix is the preferred core.
• Dashboards: must surface real-time data for each tenant with role-based visibility, SLA counters, and clean hand-off to ticketing.
• Advanced alerting comes in during Phase 2, tied to Cisco ecosystem metrics.
Log Management
Centralized logging plus log correlation and analysis are required so we can move straight from an alert to actionable insight without hopping between tools.
Phased Build
Phase 0 (2-3 weeks) – Platform deployment and secure tenant isolation.
Phase 1 (2-3 weeks) – L1 operations: alerting, incident handling, ticket auto-creation, SOPs/runbooks, escalation matrix.
Phase 2 (3-4 weeks) – L2 operations: RCA workflows, performance monitoring, automation playbooks, advanced alerting, and deeper Cisco integrations.
Key Deliverables
• Fully configured multi-tenant platform with Zabbix at the core
• Customer-facing dashboards showing real-time data and SLA status
• Centralized log store with correlation rules in place
• ITSM integration for automated ticket creation and updates
• SOPs/runbooks for both L1 and L2 activities
• Reporting framework for SLA and performance reviews
Success will be measured on MSP-grade scalability, clean Cisco integration, demonstrable automation capability, and the robustness of the support model you help us establish.
