Project Description:
Hello,
I am looking for an experienced web/e-commerce freelancer to develop an automatic quotation configurator for my website, with a cart-style request system.
The website contains products with prices already entered internally, but the prices must not be visible online to users. The prices must only be used for internal calculation and for the quotation summary that I will receive as administrator.
Required functionality:
The user must be able to browse the website, select the products they are interested in, and add them to a quotation request/cart, without seeing any prices.
After adding the products, the user must fill in a form with their details, such as:
First and last name
Company name
Email
Phone number
Address
City / Province
VAT number or tax code, if needed
Additional message or notes
Other fields to be defined
When the user clicks “Send quotation request”, the system must automatically send two emails:
1. Email to the customer
The customer must receive an email with a summary file of the requested products, but without prices.
The customer file must include:
Product photo
Product name
Product code / SKU
Requested quantity
Any selected variants
Any notes
No visible prices
2. Email to the administrator
I must receive an email with all the customer’s details and a complete summary file of the request.
The administrator file must include:
All details entered by the customer in the form
Product photo
Product name
Product code / SKU
Requested quantity
Any selected variants
Any notes
Internal price of each product
Internal total quotation amount
Summary file:
The automatically generated file should preferably be in PDF format, with a clean and professional layout.
It is important that the PDF also includes the photos of the requested products.
Admin management:
The system must be easy to manage, allowing me to:
Add or edit internal product prices
Manage products from the admin panel
Correctly receive quotation requests
Possibly edit the form fields
Keep prices always hidden from the public
Technical requirements:
Experience in web/e-commerce development
Experience with quotation request systems
Ability to hide prices from users
Automatic email sending to customer and administrator
Automatic PDF generation with product images
Management of products, quantities, variants, and SKUs
Secure, clean, and easy-to-use system
Experience with WordPress/WooCommerce is preferred, if compatible with the current website
