Project Description
I already have a complete quality-assurance checklist laid out in Excel and I now need it converted into a simple, reliable app that my building crews can use everywhere.
Core idea
• The existing spreadsheet stays as the data source—import it or sync to it, whichever is cleaner.
• The first screen must show a scrollable list of jobs; crews can tap to add a new job or open an existing one.
• Inside each job they must be able to edit the job details, tick or untick individual checklist items, mark overall completion status and, when needed, attach quick notes for follow-up work.
Access requirements
• Native apps for iPhone and Android phones.
• A browser version that works smoothly on Windows desktops (Mac or Linux compatibility would be a bonus but is not mandatory today).
• Field staff often work without service, so the interface must run offline and automatically sync back to the master sheet when a connection returns.
Deliverables
– Fully functional iOS, Android and web builds pointing at the same data.
– A straightforward way for me to swap in an updated Excel file or export the latest job data back to Excel.
– Brief hand-off documentation so I can add new checklist columns or change wording later without calling a developer.
If you have a preferred framework that handles cross-platform UI and offline sync elegantly—such as Flutter, React Native with a PWA front end, or similar—let me know; I am open to whatever keeps maintenance low and performance high.
