Project Description
We’re building Quickie — a modern lifestyle brand focused on making quick, functional nutrition feel exciting, effortless, and culturally relevant.
Our first product is a high-protein cereal, reimagined as a bold, design-led alternative to both traditional cereals and typical “protein foods.”
We’re looking for a designer to create a distinctive brand identity + cereal box packaging that stands out hard on shelf and feels culturally relevant.
There are two deliverables in this project:
1. Brand Identity
* Logo (primary + variations)
* Colour palette
* Typography system
* Basic brand guidelines
2. Packaging Design
* Full cereal box design (all sides)
* Dimensions: 25cm (H) x 19cm (W) x 4cm (D)
* Placeholder text is fine for nutrition/info
⸻
Creative Direction
The vibe:
* Bold, bright, punchy, high-contrast
* Strong shelf presence (must stand out instantly)
* Typography-led, minimal clutter, high impact
We want:
* A brand that feels modern, cool, and adult
* High protein + convenience without “gym bro” or supplement vibes
* Something people would proudly leave on their kitchen bench
We DON’T want:
* Childish cereal branding
* Beige / muted wellness aesthetic
* Clinical supplement look
* Generic supermarket cereal feel
Personality:
Bold, playful, slightly cheeky (subtle, not crude), confident, modern
⸻
Target Audience
* 18–40, urban professionals
* Busy, health-conscious, design-aware
* Currently using protein shakes / quick snacks
* Wants something more enjoyable + elevated
⸻
References / Inspiration
* Thirsty Lover (culture-led, lifestyle-forward)
* Pillow Talk by Bish Bar (functional but aesthetic)
* Graza (makes a boring category feel exciting)

We like bold colour (e.g. red) and rounded typography — but open to pushing this further.
⸻
Timeline
* First concepts: ~17 May
* Iterations: week of 25 May
* Final delivery: by 31 May
⸻
Budget
$500 AUD total
* 50% upfront
* 50% on completion
⸻
Who we’re looking for
* Strong branding + packaging portfolio (ideally food/FMCG or lifestyle brands)
* Someone who can think beyond “just cereal” and push a bold identity
* Bonus if you’ve worked on brands that feel modern / social-first
⸻
To apply
Please include:
* Portfolio (relevant work)
* 1–2 examples of brands you’ve done that feel similar
* (Optional) Quick thoughts on how you’d approach this
