Project Description
I run an Ed-tech platform and need a reliable web specialist who can stay on top of day-to-day upkeep while steadily improving the overall experience. My priorities are clear: keep the site fast, remove friction in navigation, refresh visual elements, and roll out new features without disrupting existing users.
What you’ll be doing
• Routine maintenance—security patches, plugin/module updates, bug fixes, and broken-link sweeps
• User-experience upgrades—streamlining menus and page flow, tightening content organization, and modernizing the UI so it feels intuitive on both desktop and mobile
• Performance tuning—code clean-ups, image and asset optimization, caching/CDN configuration, and other speed-boosting best practices
• Feature development—scoping and implementing new functionality that aligns with our educational goals
How we’ll work
I prefer iterative releases: small, testable improvements pushed to a staging environment, reviewed together, then deployed to production. Clear commit messages, concise change logs, and tickets closed in a shared tracker keep us both organized.
Acceptance criteria
1. No critical errors or regressions in core pages after each deployment
2. PageSpeed Insights scores remain at or above targets we set together
3. Navigation, design, and content layout updates demonstrably reduce bounce rate or improve time on page (Google Analytics)
4. New features meet the spec, pass cross-browser/mobile checks, and are documented for internal staff
