Project Description
I have a running PLC setup that now needs to speak fluently with our SCADA layer so we can capture live plant data and visualize it in real time. The focus here is pure system integration—no new ladder logic unless it helps the hand-shake.
Scope
• Map the necessary PLC tags to the SCADA database and confirm reliable read/write.
• Configure the communications driver (OPC UA, Modbus TCP, or Ethernet/IP—whichever matches the PLC you’re most comfortable with) and document every step.
• Build a small proof-of-concept screen in the SCADA environment showing live values, alarms, and a trending chart; this will serve as our acceptance test for data acquisition and monitoring.
I will provide remote access to the PLC, the SCADA development license, and a list of required signals. I expect clear documentation, commented configuration files, and a quick hand-over call so my in-house team can maintain the link after go-live.
If you’ve integrated PLCs with Wonderware, Ignition, WinCC, or a similar platform before and can turn this around quickly, let’s talk.
