Project Description
Im shooting my first film on June 5th and will have roughly 1.5 hours of 4K footage ready for post-production right after. I’m looking for a single editor–VFX artist who can take the raw material all the way to a polished, dark-and-gritty cinematic picture.
The job in a nutshell
• Full narrative edit: assemble, pace, and tighten the story into a final 90-minute cut.
• Cinematic grade: colour-correct and grade for a rich, contrasty look that feels theatrical, not video.
• Title branding: create a short animated production logo that rolls before the opening credits.
• Visual effects: layer in lens flares, smoke, and extensive blood work (gun flare, mist, splatter) wherever scripted. Practical plates will be provided; I’ll count on you for compositing and enhancement.
I shoot on Blackmagic, so an Adobe Premiere Pro / DaVinci Resolve + After Effects workflow would be ideal, but I’m open if you can deliver the same quality in another pipeline. Audio stems and music will be supplied; simple balancing and placement within the timeline is all that’s required.
Delivery expectations
1. Locked picture for review.
2. Final master (ProRes 4444 + h.264).
3. Separate rendered VFX shots and the animated logo as standalone assets.
Timeline: first rough cut three weeks after footage hand-off, final master two weeks later—though let’s discuss what’s realistic once you see the material.
If this end-to-end approach fits your skill set, I’d love to see samples of previous feature-length work, especially anything with stylised blood or atmospheric effects.
